How our refund policy works

BuyAssignmentOnline (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides academic research, writing, and editing services. Customers may request a refund under the terms set out below. Refunds are always issued to the original payment method.

A handling and service fee of 10%–20% may apply to partial refunds, depending on how much of the deadline has passed and how much work the writer has already completed. The exact percentage is set case-by-case by our Customer Experience team. This fee does not apply in cases where a full refund is guaranteed (see below).

Once an order is delivered on or before the original deadline, no refund is available — delivery within the agreed timeframe constitutes fulfilment of the service. Once you approve a delivered order, no refund is available — approval is taken as full acceptance of the work.

You may apply for any of the refund types below before approving the delivered paper.

REFUND CATEGORIES

The three refund categories, in detail

1. Full refund (no handling fee)

A full refund with no deductions is available in the following cases:

  • Duplicate or accidental payments. Notify us immediately — if no writer has been assigned, a full refund is issued.
  • No suitable writer available. If we cannot find a subject-matched writer for your order, we will notify you and issue a full refund without any fee.
  • Missed original deadline with nothing delivered. If we fail to deliver any work by the original deadline, you receive a full refund and do not retain any rights to previously delivered materials.

Note: missed revision deadlines do not qualify for a refund.

2. 50% refund (minus 10–20% handling fee)

A 50% refund, minus a service fee between 10% and 20%, is available if:

  • You cancel your order after a writer has been assigned, and less than one-third (33%) of the deadline has passed. Because work has begun, the writer must be partially compensated.

3. 25% refund (minus 10–20% handling fee)

A 25% refund, minus a service fee between 10% and 20%, is available if:

  • You cancel after a writer has been assigned and between one-third (33%) and one-half (50%) of the deadline has passed. Substantial work is usually complete by this point.
  • We are unable to source a suitable expert for a requested revision.

If a refund is issued (full or partial), all intellectual property and usage rights in the delivered content are immediately revoked. You may not use, submit, or reproduce any part of the content.

Revisions are covered separately — not by refunds

Requesting a revision indicates your acceptance of the order's general quality. For that reason, refunds are not available after any revision request. Instead, we fix the paper free of charge under our revision policy.

Plagiarism refunds

A similarity margin of up to 6% (excluding references and template text) is acceptable by default. Refunds for plagiarism are only possible when:

  • You provide an official Turnitin similarity report, and
  • Our QA team verifies similarity above 6%.

Grade-related complaints

We do not grant refunds based on grades, academic outcomes, or performance. A partial refund may be considered only where there is clear evidence the writer failed to follow your original instructions.

Exam, MCQ, and problem-solving orders

Viewing or using the provided answers counts as approval. If accuracy is below 50%, you may be eligible for partial credit of up to 30%, determined case-by-case by a Customer Experience Manager.

What refunds do not apply to

  • Money added to your store-credit balance
  • Orders where our QA team confirms the brief was followed
  • Orders where customer instructions violated our Terms of Use
  • Optional add-ons (Premium Support, Plagiarism Report, Sources Used, Table of Contents)
  • Orders you have already approved
  • Orders delivered on or before the original deadline
  • Multiple-choice, exam notes, and problem-solving assignments (except partial credit as above)

Cooling-off period

Under Australian consumer law you may cancel any order within fourteen (14) days of the order being accepted. If you cancel during this period and work has not begun, you will receive a full refund with no fee. If work has already begun, you must pay for the portion completed; any remaining balance will be refunded minus a 10–20% service fee.

How to claim a refund

  1. Open a ticket via your order portal or email info@buyassignmentonline.com with your order ID and the reason for the claim.
  2. Our Customer Experience team reviews the order, the delivery, and any evidence (e.g. Turnitin reports) within 72 hours.
  3. If the claim is approved, the refund is processed within 14 days to your original payment method.

Usage policy & breach clause

All work we deliver is for research, reference, and model purposes only. You agree not to submit, reproduce, or otherwise use the delivered work as your own. If we determine — at our sole discretion — that work has been used in violation of this intended purpose, you will be considered in breach of our Terms of Use and all rights to refunds, revisions, or support will be immediately forfeited.
